Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge 2011

A team of Isle of Wight firefighters will be completing a new Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge in 2011, by cycling from St Thomas' Square, Newport, Isle of Wight to Casemates Square, Girbraltar; 1,400 miles in 14 days. More details will be announced in January 2009.

 

Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge 2008

A team of Isle of Wight firefighters completed their challenge in September 2008 and cycled 1,488 miles from the Isle of Wight to Rome.

The Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge 2008 appeal raised £74,000 for the Wessex Cancer Trust for the diagnosis, treatment and care of Isle of Wight cancer patients and their families by providing a thorascope and other equipment for cancer and leukaemia patients at St Mary's Hospital, Newport, Isle of Wight; learn more about thorascopes here.
